Ralf's Ride,day 3

9:23 (7:23 Western time) at Alberta/Saskatchewan border
8:15 miles from Swift Current and bagged -"the person that said that the prairies are flat is a lying bastard"
Temp has been 30C. Pumped it thro' all day as no place to rest in the SHADE. There is no shade. One gas station since left Medicine Hat...no shade. This place has to be the "skin cancer capital of the world!"
++ hills all day. A local told him that it is more hilly between  Swift Current and Moose Jaw which is the route Ralf is doing tomorrow. He's upset about it already. Thinking about modifying schedule to recover. Will be on road again tomorrow am at 5/5:30. Finds that cycling conditions more favorable-cool, no wind and no heat because there is NO SHADE in Saskatchewan.
When in Regina years ago enroute to the West Coast trail for hiking adventure a Regina native he asked what they call people who live in Regina ..? Reginians?...the person responded "TRAPPED". Ralf thinks anyone who has the misfortune of living in Saskatchewan is trapped. I'm sure Ralf has a new found respect for good ol' Brampton.
