Day 7 already-time flys when you're having fun (or not)
Day started at 5:30. To border of Saskatchewan and North Dakota by 7.Day cooler;wind favourable.Saddle bags checked by border guard.....afterall Ralf might be trying to smuggle in guns.Ralf probably had a very rough demeanour.Not exactly a Hell's Angel but Ralf likes to think of himself as a (road) biker now. Was hoping to push through to Minot-159 miles-but again weather dependent. Significant flooding in Minot.Tried to book room for Ralf but Minot everything booked up.Checked availability in other towns on hwy 52 but unsuccessful.Spoke with Ralf later in am and he said he's not sure where he will end up tonite so he will look for something.Suggested a B&B if he happens to see one enroute...maybe a barn? Beggars can't be chosers.
Megan had advice to give Ralf re hydration-have power aid drinks rather than water to replace the electrolytes he's losing.Ralf also having his left over energy bars (unopen and uneaten!) from marathon.
