Ralf called in around 10 pm and reported he is the most tired since start of trek.Reminded him it's only day 3 and that he should pace himself.It's the heat that is making the days hard.Tomorrow is another long,hard day with temp in the 30's.
No flats today due to increasing pressure in rear tire.He will pump more pressure into the rear tire tomorrow.
Told me about an encounter with nature at noon today.Stopped at side of road in town of Piapot to rest under 2 trees (probably the only 2 trees in Saskatchewan);fell asleep,woke up with Prairie dog crawling on arm.Ralf surmises the prairie dog didn't have a good sense of smell...I beg to differ.I'm sure Ralf smelt like a fellow prairie dog :{
Ordering in tonite (at motel), pizza and a Greek salad-too tired to move!
