26 miles from Devil's Lake at a restaurant in town called Lakota.Will cycle to Larimore,34 miles away and stop for lunch.Then 30 more miles to Grand Forks,Minnesota.Going to be another hot day.
4 pm-95 miles completed.Booked room at East Grand Inn.Cycling good today.Wind at back initially but changed to cross winds as day progressed.
Had nap before dinner.Had a better day.No flats; no ducks to dodge on road; no praire dogs.
FYI-if anyone is going through Grand Forks on a Monday nite,looking for a place to have dinner,stop at the American Legion for their Monday nite spaghetti dinner-$4.00;16 oz.can of beer-$2.00 or a 51/2 oz.tomato juice-$1.50.I had the tomato juice as I was the DD but spend $0.50 and splurge for the beer.Between dinner and my lodging for the nite ($41.00) this has been a really cheap stop.Very different from last nite where I had a 14oz.striploin steak and glass of Shiraz.
Going to get away early tomorrow am so stopped at grocery store to pick up some pastry,OJ and 2 bananas.
Next stop Crookston.
